Casting has been announced for the forthcoming UK tour of War Horse.
The play, which closed in the West End in March 2016 after an seven-year run, will set out on tour on September 15, with press night on October 3.
Thomas Dennis, who is currently performing in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, will play the central role of Albert Narracott. Jo Castleton will play Rose Narracott and folk musician Bob Fox returns to the role of Song Man, which he played in the West End.
The National Theatre production will begin its tour at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, before visiting locations including Bristol, Liverpool, Oxford, Bradford, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Plymouth.
The show is scheduled to run throughout 2018 and finish on February 2, 2019 in Glasgow.
Directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, War Horse is an adaptation by Nick Stafford of Michael Morgpurgo’s novel.
