Further casting for the forthcoming London production of The Light in the Piazza has been announced, with performers including Rob Houchen and Celinde Schoenmaker joining the company.
Opera singer Renee Fleming and Disney star Dove Cameron have already been confirmed for the production, which is directed by Daniel Evans and is the first from theatre company Scenario Two, founded by former English National Opera boss John Berry.
Houchen and Schoenmaker have been cast alongside Liam Tamne, Malcolm Sinclair and soprano Marie McLaughlin, and will perform alongside Opera North’s orchestra.
The musical, which has a book by Craig Lucas and music and lyrics by Adam Guettel, will run for 20 performances at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, from June 14 to July 5.
The London premiere production is designed by Robert Jones, with lighting by Mark Henderson, sound by Mick Potter and costumes by Brigitte Reiffenstuel.
