Robert Bathurst, Jamie Glover, Jemma Redgrave and Laura Rogers will join the previously announced Edward Fox and Patricia Routledge in Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of An Ideal Husband, which will close the theatre’s season next month.
Oscar Wilde’s play will be directed by Rachel Kavanaugh and will run at Chichester from November 21 to December 13, with press night on November 27.
Bathurst’s theatre credits include Whipping It Up at the Ambassadors Theatre and Blithe Spirit at the Apollo, while his television credits include ITV’s Downton Abbey.
Glover made his directorial debut at Chichester earlier this year with Miss Julie/Black Comedy, while his acting credits include All’s Well That Ends Well and Edward III, both for the RSC.
Redgrave has appeared in the West End productions of Three Sisters and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, while Rogers returns to Chichester having appeared in Pressure earlier in the season.
An Ideal Husband will have design by Simon Higlett, lighting by Howard Harrison, sound by Fergus O’Hare and music by Catherine Jays.
The cast also includes Giles Coram, Max Hutchinson, Catherine Kanter, Timothy Kightley, Hattie Ladbury, Amy Morgan, Joseph Prowen, Giles Taylor and Leon Williams.
