Theatremakers call for more respect for panto as industry's 'lifeblood'

Industry figures have praised the money that pantomime brings into the sector during financially challenging times, with former chief executive of the Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre Julian Bird describing it as the "lifeblood of every regional theatre in this country".
