Wendi Peters to star in world premiere of new musical at Southwark Playhouse

Wendi Peters is to star in the world premiere of a new musical called You Are Here at Southwark Playhouse in London.

You Are Here will be performed in the Large from April 29 to May 22, either to socially distanced in-person audiences or via live stream, depending on Covid-19 restrictions.

Press night will be on May 3.

You Are Here, which is set on the the night of the moon landing on July 20, 1969, is about a Chicago housewife called Diana – played by Peters – who walks out of her suburban life.

The musical has music and lyrics by Neil Bartram, a book by Brian Hill and is directed by Matthew Rankcom.

Musical direction is by Laura Bangay and movement direction is by Amie Hibbert.

Set and costume design is by Libby Todd, lighting is by Jai Morjaria and sound design by Charles Parr.
