Mischief Theatre is set to bring three productions to this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where The Play That Goes Wrong began life nearly a decade ago.
Mischief has not taken a show back to the fringe for a full month since it premiered The Play That Goes Wrong in 2013. The Olivier award-winning comedy has since gone to run in the West End for more than seven years and has been staged in more than 30 countries.
This year, Mischief are creating a new comedy by founding members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, called Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle, as well as a new solo show by Charlie Russell called Charlie Russell Aims to Please.
Both will run at the Pleasance Courtyard.
They will be joined by an Edinburgh run of Mischief’s improv show Mischief Movie Night, running at the Pleasance at the EICC.
Lewis and Sayer said: "We’re absolutely delighted to be heading back to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year. The fringe is full of amazing memories for us and to be part of the 75th anniversary with three shows, including new work, is incredibly exciting."
The Edinburgh Fringe runs from August 5 to 29.
