An arena production based on JM Barrie’s Peter Pan and starring Stacey Solomon as Tinkerbell has been postponed until Christmas.
Peter Pan – The Never Ending Story had been due to open at the Manchester Arena on August 16, before continuing to Wembley Arena in London, the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham and the Hydro Arena in Glasgow.
However, producer Music Hall today stated that the show will now open in December at the Birmingham NIA, and that the rescheduled tour will include two new venues – the First Direct Arena in Leeds and the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle.
Geert Allaert, chief executive of Music Hall, said the company had been keen to “add new cities”, but said that “availability wouldn’t allow us to do so”.
“Moving the tour to Christmas seems like the best option and it means that we can play to even more people by adding Leeds and Newcastle to the tour,” he added.
The production is directed by Luc Petit and has musical direction by Matt Dunkley.
People who had tickets for the original dates will be able to exchange them for any new date and venue on the rescheduled tour.
