Michael Dylan has won the second of The Stage Edinburgh Awards, for his role in Wilf at the Traverse Theatre.
Critic Natasha Tripney said: "Michael Dylan is a joy in James Ley’s Wilf. He commits to the concept of this wonderfully strange play completely, convincing as a self-destructive man forming an amorous attachment with his car. He’s an incredibly funny but also genuinely vulnerable – and does a gorgeous Bonnie Tyler impersonation."
Wilf is written by James Ley and directed by the Traverse artistic director Gareth Nicholls.
Dylan is the second winner to be announced, after Samuel Barnett was recognised for his performance in Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going to Happen.
The production, which is running at Roundabout at Summerhall, is written by Marcelo Dos Santos, directed by Matthew Xia and produced by Francesca Moody Productions.
