Rebekah Jones has been made the executive director and co-chief executive at south London children’s venue the Unicorn Theatre.
Jones has been occupying the role in an interim capacity since September last year, but will remain a permanent fixture, working alongside artistic director Rachel Bagshaw.
The pair will lead the venue in a co-leadership model.
A former interim executive director at the Royal Court Theatre in London, Jones has worked at organisations including the Old Vic and Curve in Leicester.
She described her appointment as a "huge privilege".
"The Unicorn holds a vital place in the landscape of UK theatre, creating bold, imaginative, and thought-proving work for young people who make up the theatre audiences of tomorrow," Jones said.
She went on: "I look forward to working closely with Rachel and the incredible team at the Unicorn. Together, we will champion the power of theatre to inspire young minds and foster a love of storytelling that lasts a lifetime. I am excited for the journey ahead."
