This new credit-rated Secondary 4-6 course will establish students’ skills in the art of Musical Theatre. Classes will focus on acting through song, dance styles, and understanding musical theatre repertoire. Participants will cultivate their work to focus on their creativity through singing, acting, and dancing.
Exploring various performance techniques such as acting through song, storytelling, voice, and movement, you will develop your own skills and work in small groups with other participants.
Throughout the course, participants will delve into the fundamentals of musical theatre performance, including vocal technique, acting, dance, and stage presence. Led by seasoned instructors with extensive experience in the industry, students will receive personalised attention and guidance tailored to their individual strengths and areas for growth.
Throughout the term you will be led through the process of researching and rehearsing musical theatre pieces and be introduced to terms and vocabulary used within the industry.

We are offering a credit-rated option for this class, giving students the opportunity to gain SCQF credits upon submission. This will not be mandatory; however, students can sign up for the credit-rated option by following the steps listed in Credit-Rated tab below.
