This MA programme is a unique distance education programme, centred around the development of your existing professional arts practice. Access to the programme is based on your prior professional experience and not on holding an UG degree.
The course will suit any professional arts practitioner working across the fields of dance, theatre, music, and broader interdisciplinary arts practices. The course title includes a (Specialisation) option, to allow you to choose your specialisation during your studies, giving your degree the respective title such as Professional Arts Practice (Dance) or Professional Practice (Performance) or Professional Practice (Somatic Studies).
In fact, the course allows for you to articulate an array of specialisations to suit your practice. You’ll have the flexibility to shape your studies around work
commitments so that you can pursue your ambitions with structured support from experienced academic practitioners. And all sessions run online. Your practice is placed at the centre of your research investigation, making your study applicable within the profession and of value to colleagues, employers and other students.
Your professional experience will be used to claim 80 credits of your MA. You’ll be part of a vibrant international creative industries research culture, with access to influential and internationally respected work across the field.
