Introduction to Motion Capture for Performance

Are you a performer interested in working with Motion Capture? Join us this summer for an intensive and practical two-day course.  Working with leading MOCAP experts you will “suit up” and learn how to perform with the technology in our motion capture studio.  

Course Outline
Day One

An introduction to the medium and terminology used in motion capture volume through a series of immersive exercises
“Suit up” in a workshop led by our two specialist tutors and learn how to work in a motion capture vault
Become familiar with how your performance is recorded in a volume
Day Two

An overview of character and script work, creating characters idles, walk cycles and how to portray characters for game productions
An opportunity to perform a piece of text in the studio applying your new skills and knowledge of the medium
