Introduction to Globe Performance Practice

Discover the unique experience of performing in the Globe Theatre in this practical introduction for professional actors.

Following a short tour of the theatre, you’ll step onto the stage for a two and a half hour workshop focussed on performing in Shakespeare’s wooden ‘O’.

Guided by a member of our expert faculty, you’ll be introduced to the distinctive actor-audience relationship in the outdoor theatre and work collaboratively with fellow actors to explore how the space enhances our understanding of Shakespeare’s texts.

This three hour session will provide a safe and supportive space to explore, play and connect creatively. These workshops are aimed at trained actors who would like to gain more experience with Shakespeare, including those who have not worked with Shakespeare’s texts before.
