Thursday Young Conservatoire

At Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, we offer a wide range of opportunities for young people to foster their love for the arts. Our classes are designed to provide a supportive environment where students can explore their creative potential and develop essential skills in performance, production, filmmaking and much more.

Our courses for under-18s are taught by experienced professionals as well as our own degree students at the height of their training, ensuring an enriching learning experience. These dedicated instructors create a nurturing environment in which young people can build their confidence, develop teamwork skills and gain a deep appreciation of the arts.

BOVTS Young Conservatoire | Thursday 25 April – Thursday 4 July 2024 (Summer Term) | £185 per 10 week term or £500 for full academic year, Bursaries available | Intermediate, Ages 16-18  

Each 10-week term will build your skills in working with text, character, improvisation, and voice and movement techniques. Much of the learning is structured as imaginative play to unlock your acting potential. In addition to developing your individual strengths in monologues, storytelling and self-tape auditions, you will also get to explore theatre as an ensemble. Each term culminates with a short performance for an invited audience.
