This MFA Musical Theatre course is designed to deliver world class actor training for those committed to a professional career in Musical Theatre performance.
Over the 18 month course, applicants will have the opportunity to develop their acting, singing, and dance technique, deepen their understanding Musical Theatre on stage and screen, work on new musicals, work with a wide range of musical theatre directors, musical directors, and choreographers, and receive bespoke guidance on developing an ’audition ready’ repertoire.
Students training on this course will benefit from the opportunity to explore a wide variety of musicals, develop future proof skills, and develop as artists. The first year of the course will culminate in a public-facing musical production and a UK industry facing showcase.
Year two will see the you gaining deeper understanding through taught classes and independent research, exploring new trends in Musical Theatre, and gaining a CPD accredited qualification in LAMDA Examinations teaching.
Graduates will emerge industry ready ’triple threat’ performers, supported with professional career advice, and repertoire of solo songs for future auditions. The course aims to provide a route into professional performance work as an actor in Musical Theatre.
