Introduction to Globe Performance Practice (Rehearsal Room)

Explore the Globe’s unique approach to performing Shakespeare in this practical, rehearsal room based introduction for professional actors.

Following a short tour of the Globe Theatre, you’ll join a member of our expert faculty in one of our rehearsal rooms for a two and a half hour workshop. You’ll discover how performance context informs our understanding of Shakespeare’s texts and collaborate with fellow actors to workshop ways to harness the distinctive actor-audience relationship created in the Globe.

This three hour session will provide a safe and supportive space to explore, play and connect creatively. These workshops are aimed at trained actors who would like to gain more experience with Shakespeare, including those who have not worked with Shakespeare’s texts before. Please note, this workshop takes place in a rehearsal room and does not include time on the Globe stage.
