CertHE Introduction to Dance and Musical Theatre

The CertHE Introduction to Dance and Musical Theatre is a full time, taught one-year programme for ages 18+ that provides you with a thorough grounding in key dance and musical theatre techniques with a critical understanding and development of established skills in audition technique.

You will explore different styles to become versatile performers ready to audition for vocational training establishments. You will develop your knowledge of the different offerings available and learn to assess the suitability of these courses for you. You will also develop your understanding of the application process, ensuring you submit a strong personal statement and application.

The programme offers versatile foundational training in the technical and performance skills of ballet, contemporary dance, jazz dance and musical theatre. At the end of the programme, a final performance opportunity is offered to consolidate the holistic learning of the course and provide an opportunity to showcase your work and your progress.
