Leeds Conservatoire’s Musical Theatre Degree is designed to prepare performers for a sustainable career in the fast-paced Musical Theatre industry. Through studio practice and professional training you will become an authentic performing artist, undertaking acting, dance and singing tuition within the unique environment of a contemporary conservatoire.

Career-focus
Practical sessions will be taught in small groups for individualised training and workshops, masterclasses and on-campus productions will further develop your skills. You will work towards full scale Musical Theatre public performances in your third year, including a professional showcase where casting agents and industry insiders will be invited to watch you perform.

As a graduate of Leeds Conservatoire, you will be fully equipped with the skills to work within a demanding and vibrant creative industry, able to audition for and tackle roles within Musical Theatre and beyond.

Collaboration
Working with practitioners from Leeds Playhouse and our conservatoire staff, you will study alongside active professionals and talented educators.
Surrounded by musicians, composers and performers, our teaching and learning approach combined with your own talent and passion will prepare you for the diverse world of Musical Theatre.

Courses are taught in our purpose-built performing arts facilities. Students have access to our state-of-the-arts dance and drama studio spaces, rehearsal rooms and music ensemble rooms, as well as our award-winning library and lively Café Bar.
