White Teeth – Kiln Theatre, London

The second production in the rechristened Kiln Theatre’s autumn season is an adaptation of Zadie Smith’s acclaimed debut novel – a sprawling portrait of north-west London. Directed by Indhu Rubasingham, it opens on November 5.

The Madness of George III – Nottingham Playhouse

Mark Gatiss takes on the title role in Alan Bennett’s play. Adrian Scarborough, Jack Holden and Nadia Albina also star in the production, which opens on November 6.

Romeo and Juliet – Barbican Theatre, London

Erica Whyman’s lively production of Romeo and Juliet’s tale of young love transfers to the Barbican. Bally Gill and Karen Fishwick play the lovers, while Charlotte Josephine plays a spiky, fighty Mercutio. It opens on November 6.

The Hoes – Hampstead Theatre, London

Ifeyinwa Frederick’s debut play about sisterhood and friendship is the next production to open in Hampstead Theatre’s Downstairs space. Lakesha Arie-Angelo directs and it opens on November 8.

Pinter Three and Four – Harold Pinter Theatre, London

The next two productions in Jamie Lloyd’s season of short plays opens in the West End. Pinter Three includes Landscape, A Kind of Alaska and Monologue; Pinter Four includes Moonlight and Night School. Tamsin Greig and Meera Syal star and the plays open on November 10.
