Theatr Clwyd’s stage management team has won at this year’s SMA National Stage Management Awards, sponsored by The Stage, for its work on The Assassination of Katie Hopkins.
The team – Stevie Haighton, Harriet Stewart and Linnea Friden Gronning – won the team prize at this year’s awards, which were held at Alexandra Palace on June 6.
Stage management crews at London venues the Bridge Theatre, the Playhouse Theatre, the Orange Tree Theatre and the National Theatre were highly commended.
The prize for individual stage manager went to Sophie Macfadyen, who was honoured for three productions she worked on as assistant stage manager at London’s Unicorn Theatre – Beowulf, The Velveteen Rabbit and Not Now Bernard.
The student achievement award went to Ben Cook, from Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
