Martin Shaw and Jenny Seagrove are to star in Love Letters at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, which will be the first live performance at the venue since the first lockdown in March.
The play is set to open on December 3, the first day after prime minister Boris Johnson has indicated the second lockdown will end.
It will run until February 7, 2021.
AR Gurney’s Love Letters, directed by Roy Marsden, was previewed at Theatre Royal Windsor in October.
The play is produced by Bill Kenwright Limited, and is enabled by a grant from the government’s Cultural Recovery Fund.
