Illusionist Derren Brown is to bring his new production Showman to the West End, following his current UK tour.
Showman is Brown’s new, interactive one-man show and will run at the Apollo Theatre in London, from December 9 until March 19, 2023. Press night will be December 15.
Brown last appeared in the West End four years ago with Derren Brown: Underground, which was performed at the Charing Cross Theatre.
He said: “The heart of the show is about remembering what’s important. Particularly how the very things that we find most isolating in life - our fears and difficulties - actually connect us, in that they’re the very things we share. Framed, of course, with some extraordinary demonstrations of my particular voodoo”.
Brown’s London run follows on from his current 155-date national tour, which ends in October.
The show is directed by Andrew O’Connor and Andy Nyman, who have written it with Brown.
It is presented by Michael Vine, O’Connor, Brown and Paul Sandler of Vaudeville Productions Ltd for Showman Productions Ltd.
The executive producer is John Dalston.
