Alistair McDowall’s Pomona, which ran at the Orange Tree Theatre last year, will transfer to the National Theatre’s Temporary Theatre in September ahead of a run at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.
Pomona, directed by Ned Bennett, will run from mid-September to mid-October at the National, and from October 29 to November 21 at the Royal Exchange.
The Orange Tree has also announced that it will stage the world premiere of Adam Barnard’s new play, Buckets.
It will run from May 28 to June 27 and will mark the conclusion of Paul Miller’s inaugural season as artistic director at the theatre.
Directed by Rania Jumaily, the production will be designed by James Turner and has lighting by Elliot Griggs.
Elsewhere, Deborah Bruce’s the Distance, which ran at the Orange Tree last year, will have its regional premiere as part of Sheffield Theatres’ new season, as announced last week.
