Punchdrunk will premiere a new family show as part of the 2018 LIFT festival, that will also include work by Taylor Mac and the National Theatre of North Korea.
Small Wonders by Nessah Muthy will run at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre from June 2 to July 13.
Other highlights of the London theatre festival include American actor and playwright Anna Deavere Smith making her first London appearance in 25 years with Notes From the Field at the Royal Court.
The National Theatre of Korea will perform in the UK for the first time with contemporary opera Trojan Women.
Elsewhere the season includes Fly By Night, an outdoor work by American artist Duke Riley, which will see 1,500 LED-lit, trained pigeons take to the skies above the River Thames.
Works by Congolese choreographer Faustin Linyekula, American theatremaker Taylor Mac, Australia’s Back to Back Theatre, and a collaboration between East London Dance, Hofesh Shechter Company, and Historic Royal Palaces will also feature.
LIFT guest artistic director David Binder said: “We want to offer an antidote to the recent times, giving chances to celebrate our diverse communities, dispel seeded fears and confront preconceptions.
“From the iconic buildings, renowned stages and unusual, hidden spaces in which our festival takes place, we welcome global citizens to create work as a signifier to everyone; whether you were born here, have made it your home or are just passing through, you belong here.”
