Daisy Heath has been appointed executive director of Kiln Theatre in London.
Heath joins from the Young Vic, where she has held the role of lead producer since 2011.
She replaces Bridget Kalloushi, who leaves after six years as executive producer and following the reopening of the theatre after a £5 million refurbishment that saw it change its name from the Tricycle to Kiln.
Heath will work alongside artistic director Indhu Rubasingham, who said: “On meeting Daisy, we knew what a brilliant appointment she would be for the company.
“Not only does she bring a wealth of experience, having worked across the subsidised theatre sector for most of her varied career, but her enthusiasm and ambition for the company are just the right energy as we explore the possibilities of the new building.”
Rubasingham paid tribute to Kalloushi’s dedication to the organisation, and for spearheading the refurbishment project.
“Her legacy will live on in the beautifully refurbished theatre,” Rubasingham added.
Heath said she was “over the moon” to be joining Kiln. She takes over in January.
