Directors Jude Christian and Ola Ince have been appointed new artistic associates at London’s Lyric Hammersmith.
They are the latest additions to the Lyric’s roster of associates that also includes Paule Constable, Joel Horwood, Ferdy Roberts and Simon Stephens.
Upon joining the theatre, Christian will work as assistant director on the Lyric’s upcoming Aladdin production as well as Shopping and Fucking, while her previous credits include Lela and Co at the Royal Court.
Ince has previously worked with the Lyric as associate resident director, supported by the BBC Performing Arts Fund.
The venue’s group of artistic associates was formed by artistic director Sean Holmes when he joined the theatre in 2009.
Holmes described his associates as a “vital part of the artistic life of the Lyric”, adding that they provoke, challenge and support the theatre’s programme.
“I’m delighted that Ola and Jude, two of the best theatre artists of their generation, are now joining our artistic associates, bringing their unique insight and creativity to this essential group at the heart of the Lyric,” he said.
