Imelda Staunton will star in a new West End production of the musical Hello, Dolly! which will open next year.
She will play the title role, alongside Jenna Russell as Irene Molloy.
The show will run for a 30 week season, opening on August 11 with a press night on August 27, 2020 at the Adelphi Theatre.
Hello, Dolly! is directed by Dominic Cooke with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, and a book by Michael Stewart.

Staunton said: “Well, I’m delighted and daunted in equal measure to be doing a new production of Hello, Dolly! in London next year.
“I am so excited to be working again with Dominic Cooke, Michael Harrison and David Ian, and we all can’t wait to bring Hello, Dolly! – which is a truly joyous show – back to the West End after all these years.”
The musical is produced by David Ian and Michael Harrison.
Further casting is yet to be announced.
