Francesca Moody has been appointed executive producer at theatre company Curious Directive.
Moody will take up the newly created post in February, working alongside artistic director Jack Lowe.
Curious Directive, which joins Arts Council England’s roster of national portfolio organisations in April, creates theatre that “bridges the gap between science and art”.
Moody joins from Paines Plough, where she has been a producer since 2016.
Before this, Moody worked as a freelance producer, and produced the original stage production of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag in 2013.
She said: “I am thrilled to be joining Curious Directive and working alongside Jack to realise the company’s ambitions at this hugely exciting time. Curious Directive shows are astonishingly imaginative and inquisitive, they explore complex subjects through the prism of human experience and bring new ideas and technologies into a theatrical context.”
Lowe added: “[Moody’s] vision for curious directive is stunning and as we take on the mantle of joining the small group of new artist-led NPOs, we will grow our offer of new theatre inspired by science in Norwich, the UK and internationally.”
