BAC to tour Kate Tempest’s Brand New Ancients

Kate Tempest’s spoken word show Brand New Ancients is to tour London and regional venues in a co-production with Battersea Arts Centre from this November.

The show will visit ten theatres in the capital including the Royal Court Theatre, the Young Vic, the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Studio Theatre, Hackney Empire and the Albany in south east London, which co-commissioned the tour.

West Yorkshire Playhouse, Contact in Manchester and Mac Birmingham will also host the show, as well as the North Wall theatre in Oxford and Brighton Dome.

The tour begins at the Royal Court on November 14 and continues until April 20, 2014, when it finishes its run at BAC.

I am especially delighted we will be working with such a diverse range of venues across London. Brand New Ancients is a good example of our mission to invent the future of theatre. It stands in a long tradition of shows and artists that have been created at Battersea Arts Centre and go on to have a big impact on audiences, arts organisations and other artists.”
