ALRA North student Rhiannon Clements has won the 2019 Spotlight Prize for best stage actor.
Clements was among 20 students nominated from the UK’s leading drama schools who competed for the prize on July 16.
The nominees performed in front of two panels of industry judges, one for stage and one for screen.
Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama student Lucy Reynolds was named best screen actor.
Clements performed a monologue from The Age of Consent by Peter Morris and Reynolds performed a speech from Mayfly by Joe White.
The judges of the stage showcase, which was directed by Natalie Abrahami, included actors Sheila Atim and Romola Garai and casting directors Andy Brierley and Tracey Gillham.
Previous winners of the prize include Judi Dench, Zoë Wanamaker and Jim Broadbent.
