Who speaks up for theatre?

Economic crisis has turned the volume up on worker’s voices worldwide, and across all sectors - from pay settlement negotiations to strike action. This session asks, where is theatre’s collective action? What are the challenges to advocacy right now, and how do we as a sector make our case in a climate of increasing scarcity?

At the end of this session you will have:

• Insight into the challenges of advocacy in the arts in the economic climate
• Understanding of how individuals can contribute meaningfully to sector advocacy
• Insight into sector progress on advocacy and championing theatre’s visibility in central government’s financial considerations
