How do we ensure a future for new writing?

Following funding cuts to a number of new-writing organisations including Hampstead Theatre, the Gate Theatre and Stockroom, and complaints from playwrights about rates of pay and the sector’s talent development pipeline, we discuss how British theatre can ensure a thriving future for its creative engine: writers.

The Stage’s deputy editor Matthew Hemley will chair the panel, which will also feature literary agent Mel Kenyon, tiata fahodzi artistic director Chinonyerem Odimba and playwrights David Edgar and David Eldridge.
