Daniel York Loh is a performer, writer, filmmaker nd musician. As an actor he has worked at the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and Royal Court theatres amongst many others and most recently in Dr. Semmelweis (Bristol Old Vic), No Particular Order (Theatre 503), Dmitry (Marylebone Theatre) and Caceroleo (Vault Festival). As a writer his plays include The Fu Manchu Complex (Ovalhouse), Forgotten 遗忘 (Plymouth Theatre Royal/Arcola) and with Kakilang every dollar is a soldier/with money you're a dragon (Winner : Arts Council Digital Culture Award - Storytelling). He is one of 21 'writers of colour' in the best-selling essay collection The Good Immigrant. His is currently Associate Artistic Director of Kakilang whose biannual festival is currently running in London https://www.kakilang.org.uk/festival-2023 . His short films have played in festivals worlswide and won several awards. He is a founder member of Moongate Productions and BEATS and is currently Chair of Equity's Race Equality Committee.
