The Trinity College London Diploma in Professional Dance

The Level 6 Trinity Professional Diploma in Professional Dance is a comprehensive three-year full-time program offered at Institute of Contemporary Theatre in partnership with Northern Ballet School, located in Manchester. This course provides students with the Trinity College London Diploma in Professional Dance, equivalent to a first-degree qualification. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for a successful career in the dance industry, emphasising a broad range of dance styles and genres.

Year One of the program focuses on classical ballet training, complemented by a diverse array of disciplines including Jazz, Contemporary Dance, Musical Theatre, Tap Dance, Acting, Singing, Anatomy, Pilates, Yoga, Body Conditioning, and Contextual Studies.

In Year Two, students make a pivotal choice between a Classical/Contemporary Dance or Jazz/Musical Theatre focus. Core subjects in this stage encompass Repertoire, Double Work/Partnering, Choreography, and Individual Singing Coaching.

Year Three takes a strategic approach, emphasising professional preparation through Audition Preparation Classes, workshops, and guest sessions. This phase offers enhanced performance opportunities, culminating in a Student Choreography Show and a Showcase for agents and directors.

The course aims to produce well-rounded, artistically accomplished, technically skilled, self-motivated, and confident performers ready for the global creative industries.
