BA (Hons) Theatre and Performance

FacebookTwitterLinkedIn

Based in the vibrant arts culture of Leeds, this course is a practical programme of study that is designed to produce exciting and innovative theatre makers, performers and artist entrepreneurs who not only want to work within the Creative Industries, but have a desire to shape it.

Led by cutting edge international theatre and performance makers, you can expect to engage with a variety of live performance briefs that cover traditional end on theatre practices, acting for screen and contemporary theatre practice.  Your time will be spent in a performance studio or theatre working towards public live performances in an experimental arts laboratory setting.

Working alongside theatre organisations such as Northern Opera Group, and the international theatre festival ‘Transform’, you can expect to gain access to our network of artist practitioners who will help kick start your career after graduation.

Located within Leeds Beckett University, the Leeds School of Arts boasts an industry standard arts space that includes a 180-Seat theatre, 80-seat Black Box, three dedicated training studios, and a 200-seat cinema.  You will also have access to state-of-the-art recording studios, ensemble rooms, and mastering suites.

Your training with us will help transform you into a unique and innovative theatre maker who creates opportunities rather than waits for them.
